Rajasthan or the"Land of the Kings" is indeed a fabulous realm of Maharajas, majestic forts and lavish palaces. While its bustling cities throb with the ever-increasing crowds and chaos of emerging India, the treasures of the past provide a stark reminder of the glory days gone by. We will take you on a journey back in time in the footprints of the Maharajas. 

You will discover the architecture masterpieces of the Mughal period in Delhi and Fatehpur Sikri and be dazzled by the beauty of the Taj Mahal while boating on the Yamuna river. Admire the Royal Heritage of the Pink city at dawn, cycling in the city Palace complex. Take a thrilling tiger safari in the wilderness of the Ranthambore National Park, a former royal reserve where the aristocrat families used to go hunting. Explore the emblematic cities of Rajasthan and experience their distinct charm. Udaipur the "Venice of the East" will surprise you with its serene lake surrounded by green hills and the stunning white City Palace overlooking the water. The "Blue city" or Jodhpur will fascinate you with its massive fort made of sand stone towering the bright blue medieval city.

Day 1-2 | Old Delhi and New Delhi

Arrival in Delhi. Your private driver will pick you up. We can adjust the program according to the time of your arrival. 

Start your day by visiting New Delhi and its beautiful heritage which takes you into the magical Mughal era: Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, Lodhi Gardens. In the late afternoon meet your guide for an Old Delhi walk through its historic sites and the hustle bustle of its old markets. Get a sense of Delhi's vivacity and why the "Walled City" is its heart. 

Day 3 | Delhi - Agra

4-5h drive (250 km)

After breakfast leave for Agra.  

In Agra join your guide for a visit of the Red fort, the Baby taj and heritage walking tour in the old part of the city. Enter an age old Shiva temple filled with singing devotees, admire one of the biggest mosque of India, stroll in the various bazaars. 

At sunset get a unique boat ride on the Yamuna River to admire the Taj Mahal.

Day 4 | Agra - Fatehpur - Jaipur

3h drive (250 km) / 3h drive (230km)

Get up early to visit one of the seven wonders of the world.  At sunrise, the marble of the Taj Mahal encrusted with precious stones is shaded with golden tones. This tomb was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan in the image of his deceased queen: let your private guide tell you the major tale of love behind this iconic monument. After breakfast head to Jaipur. En route visit Fathepur Sikri, a magnificent fortified ancient city, which used to be the capital of the Mughal empire between 1572 and 1585, during the reign of Emperor Akbar. It is an Indo-Islamic masterpiece. 

Arrival in Jaipur. Overnight in your haveli at the heart of the city.

Day 5 | Jaipur, the Pink city

Start your day with an early morning cycle tour in the old city. See its monuments, learn about its royal past while visiting the Maharaja's cenotaphs, explore its vegetable and flower market, enter the city Palace temple and have a breakfast in an haveli. Go on with your visits on foot with your private guide and discover the City Palace and the incredible Astronomical Observatory before heading to the former capital of Rajasthan, Amber. En route make a stop to admire the Water Palace. Enjoy a lunch in an Indian family at the bottom of the magnificent fort and get to know more about this bygone era. Visit the Fort and get on a heritage walk in the century old town filled with temples and historic structures. Indulge yourself with an Ayurvedic massage before going back to your hotel. Overnight at your haveli.

Day 6 | Jaipur - Ranthambore

3h drive (167km)

After breakfast, go for a shopping treat in the capital of Rajasthan, home of beautiful textile, jewellry, pottery. Visit a gem market or have a look at the upmost refined pieces of the Maharaja's Jeweller.

Then head to the National Park of Ranthambore for a wilderness experience!

Arrive at your hotel and go for an afternoon jeep safari amidst the park. Wander in the ruins of the ancient Fort of Ranthambore and its temples overlooking the lake and watch the sunset.

Day 7 | Ranthambore - Chittorgarh - Udaipur

3h drive (250 km) / 3h drive (230km)

This morning wake up at dawn for an exciting jeep safari in the Tiger reserve. Get ready to be mesmerized by the beauty of the wilderness: Antilops, bullocks, birds and if you are lucky get a sneak peak of the emblematic Bengal tiger. Ranthambore is the best place to sight them, they don't fear us and calmly pass by for our greatest pleasure! 

Back at your hotel take a breakfast and leave shortly after for Udaipur. en route stop at Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh is the largest fort complex of India and a fascinating place to explore. It rises from the plains like a huge rock island and is surrounded on all sides by 150m cliffs. Let your guide share tales of pure Rajput warrior romanticism, chivalry and tragedy and admire the 37 m high XV century tower covered with detailed hindu carvings. Check into your Haveli hotel and have well deserved romantic dinner lakeside with a fascinating view of the City Palace. Day 8 | Udaipur

The White city was founded in the XVI century by the Prince Udai Singh. Explore the “Venice of the East” by boat around the Lake Pichola and surrounded by peaks of Aravalli range. Visit the superb City Palace, the temples wander in the bazaars and be a witness of a rajasthani folk dance performance in an picturesque setting at sunset.

Day 9 | Ranakpur - Jodhpur

4h drive (251 km)

Leave in the morning to Jodhpur. En route visit the magnificent temples of Ranakpur (90km) Finely carved in white marble, It is the largest Jain sanctuary of India. Learn about Jainism and admire this work of art built at the end of the XV century.

On your way, drive on beautiful roads through the Aravalli Mountains. A fabulous landscape of buffalo wells, fields and ancestral farming techniques.

Check into your Haveli hotel and have dinner on the terrace with a fascinating view on the Mehrangarh fort. Overnight at haveli hotel.

Day 10 | Jodhpur

5h drive (250 km)

The Blue City is a bliss for the eyes with the majestic Fort of Mehrangarh, made of red sandstone, towering the old blue city. You will visit Mehrangarh and learn all about the history of the Fortress and the customs of its Rajput rulers. The height of the ramparts, the chiseled architecture and the beauty of the interiors will leave you a memorable impression. Then walk down to the old city below, a jumble of Brahmin-blue narrow alleys, fortified by a 16th-century city wall. Indulge yourself in the poetic atmosphere of these medieval streets and feel the hustle bustle of the markets and bazaars near the Clock Tower.  

Leave late afternoon for Narlai Over night stay at your Haveli.

Day 11 | Jodhpur - Delhi International Airport

Take a morning flight to Delhi. If time allows make the last visit you to do or go for some shopping in the bazaars of Delhi.

Your private driver will drop you off at the International airport of Delhi.
